| Q: How many treatments are needed to relieve pain? A: The number of treatments needed varies based on the type of pain the patient is experiencing. At the Eureka Clinic, we customize treatment programs and packages based on our patient's individual circumstances. That being said, for a majority of patients the following can be accomplished with five treatments:

After the initial set of treatments, follow up treatments are scheduled to assist patients in attaining long-term improvement and a better quality of life through pain relief. Q: How long is a treatment? A: Treatment sessions are between 15 to 45 minutes, depending on how many areas are treated. Q: What does a treatment actually consist of? A: The Eureka Clinic uses non-invasive techniques. We encourage patients to come in for a consultation to see the types of modalities the Clinic uses. An overview of the technology and how it works can be provided. Q: Are there any potential side effects? A: There are no side effects associated with Eureka treatments. After treatments, patients may experience a feeling similar to achiness after a workout, which is a part of the body's healing process. Q: Do the treatments hurt? A: The treatments are not painful. Patients may experience slight tingling at the treatment site. At the initial consultation, a demonstration of the treatment method can be done on the patient's hand to illustrate the feeling. Q: Is this like acupuncture? A: Eureka Clinic treatments often result in acupuncture-like effects, as many of the treated areas are similar to acupuncture points. The main difference is that Eureka treatments are completely non-invasive. Q: How often do I need to come? A: Treatment regiments are customized for individual patients. Generally, for out of town patients, we usually recommend daily treatments over a five-day period. For in town patients, we usually recommend a treatment every two to three days initially. Muscle memory is 72 hours and repeating treatments within that timeframe supports muscle re-education. Q: What do I need to do after a treatment? A: Let your body guide your activity after a treatment. Some patients feel the need to rest more, which allows the repair and restoration of cells to take place. We encourage patients not to over-exert themselves with the relief of pain, as it takes time for the body to adjust and restore itself. We highly recommend a good stretching routine to help "re-educate" the muscles. This routine can be provided as part of a treatment package. Q: Will Insurance cover these charges? A: While the Eureka Clinic does not bill insurance companies directly, we are more than happy to provide our patients with the appropriate codes and information to seek reimbursement. Eureka Clinic treatments fall under standard CPT and ICD9 codes, which are used by all medical providers to identify procedures for insurance companies. Dr. Oei is an "opted out of Medicare" provider and according to the current regulations, patients are not able to collect from Medicare. It is possible that your secondary insurance may cover the services. Q: How do I know if Eureka treatments will be effective on my pain? A: Most pain resulting from a soft tissue injury or condition tends to respond well to treatments. However, due to individual differences, treatment results will vary. We encourage you to contact us to schedule a consultation to determine if Eureka treatments are appropriate for your condition. Please feel free to contact us at 480.659.5470 |
